Voices in Collections

I am pleased to show the brand for the podcast I’ve been working on with @thenewartgallerywalsall which is live on Spotify as of now ~ I worked alongside the team at the gallery (Kiran and Julie) as well as the Community Panel to receive feedback on the brand and also involve them in the branding process. The colours from the brand have been inspired by the retro fittings of the collections in the gallery. I worked with hand-lettering for this as I felt it was important to try and get movement within the logotype to reflect the audio aspect. The illustrations that we chose for the podcast tile are all themes for the episodes this season. The Voices in Collections series will aim to talk about how the Community Panel started and talk about the gallery’s projects that embed more visible and permanent diversity into the gallery’s Collections. The Collections Community Panel are a group of local people with a range of lived experiences that represent the people of Walsall with Collections displays, to select the works they want to see exhibited and the events they would like to accompany the exhibition programme.
